ABOUT BEC BRAITLING - ASST. TRAINER

Bec Braitling has been involved with horses in Australia since an early age spending her formative years training with Australian Olympic gold medallist Stuart Tinney. At 16 she was afforded the opportunity to travel to the U.S. and train with another Olympic Gold Medalist, Phillip Dutton. Since that short five week training session her career has taken off.

Bec has represented Australia at the Young Rider Trans Tasman Championships in 1998, 2000, and 2002. From 1998 was listed on 'Just A Lady' as an Elite Rider in Australia. She finished 4th at the 2002 National Championships in Taupo, New Zealand as well as having had top placings at CIC*** World Cup Qualifiers. She was selected to compete in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Test Event and has ridden at numerous CIC***'s and CCI***'s in Australia including Sydney, Melbourne, Warwick, Albury, Goulburn and the prestigious Adelaide International CCI**** event.

Between 2006 and 2008 Bec returned to Phillip Dutton's True Prospect Farm to continue her training. In January of 2008 she returned with her three star horse Just Jealous, with the goal of expanding her international competition experience. While based at True Prospect Farm she gained further experience instructing, riding and competing horses for both Phillip and Boyd Martin.

At the end of 2008 Bec relocated west to the central coast to continue pursuing her goals with Gina and GME. Bec has been a welcome addition to Team GME and will be a great addition to eventing on the west coast.
